Welcome to Widows Breathe Coaching

I am a personal coach for widows. I support widows.

My clients are women who are bright, educated and articulate and who are walking through one of the most difficult times in their lives.

They are motivated and ready to take action. They are willing to invest (time and money) in their future. They don't want to wake up one morning, 10 years after the death of their spouse, still depressed or grieving.

Some of my clients are making strides into new relationships (Yes, dating!), new careers, new lifestyles...exploring their values and their purpose as they create a new vision statement for their lives.

And, some of my clients are brand new widows, still in the thick of grief. Wherever you are, that is where we begin coaching. You do not have to be alone in this process.

It is hard work and I am available as your coach if you are prepared to do the work.

What exactly is Coaching? And why for widows?

Widowhood is a time of complete upheaval. Nothing in a widow’s life is left untouched by this traumatic event.

As a coach I become a partner in your recovery.

I help my clients get clear on what they want, (i.e. support in their new unexpected single life, new relationships, improved old relationships, work-life balance, parent-adult life balance, grief support, limit setting, settling their relationship with their deceased partner). We work together in moving towards their goals.

Because every client is different, the issues are also different.

  • You may be stuck because there is more grieving that needs to be done. We sometimes rush the process in our desire to feel better.
  • Or, there may be incomplete issues from your marriage that need to be unraveled.
  • If you are further ahead, the focus of the coaching might be on issues such as relationships, work-life balance or friendships.

What is your vision for your life?

Where do you want to be in one year?  In five years?

The best way to learn about coaching is to experience a sample (free) session. This session lasts between 30 minutes and an hour and allows you to make an informed decision. Coaching is done over the phone so distance is not a factor.  Click on 'FREE SAMPLE" to sign up.

What happens after a sample session?

If, after the sample session, you feel that you and I are a good match, I will send you your welcome packet. This packet is designed to assist you in beginning (or furthering) the process of articulating what it is you want to create. You and I will then schedule your first session.

How often do the coaching sessions happen?

Ongoing sessions take place three to four times per month, for 40 - 50 minutes per session. You and I will agree on weekly 'homework' that will 'lock in' what you have learned and bring you closer to your goals.

“I am so very grateful for the work I have done with Mie. I would never have made it as far as I have without her support, encouragement and occasional loving push!” D.F.

Coaching is about change.

Simply put, coaching helps you identify what you want and supports you in making the needed changes.

The good news is this...you already have the answers. It is my job as your coach to tease them out; to ask the right questions and then to support you as you begin the process of activating change in your life.

I am committed to your success. I will support you and challenge you in your explorations. I will tell the truth with compassion. I will provide focus, structure and support. Your agenda is my agenda.

Coaching is not inexpensive. It is an investment, an investment in your present and in your future.

Click on "Free Sample" and send me your contact information. I will get back to you within 48 hours to schedule a complimentary coaching session.
